"Comet" (2022)

The Gold Awakening Collection was inspired by my largest painting to date - a major fail. Determined to bring this idea to life successfully, the Gold Awakening Collection was born.

'Comet' (No. 3) was inspired by the textures of rocks in outer space. This painting had formed a texture of its own in the beginning stages and I took it from there, adding more textures to the surface and guiding the composition to look like a comet flying through the sky.
