If Walls Could Talk

The inspiration behind the painting, If Walls Could Talk, is a very simple story. Basically, it turns out that I am very inspired by very old, very dirty walls.

No, seriously.

Something about their blotches and cracks are beautiful to me. Take the image below for example. Have you ever seen a cooler wall?

It really just makes you think, this wall has been through so much over so long. What has it seen? What has it endured? Who knows, maybe nothing even crazy.

During my trip to Portugal, I took so many pictures of, like, every wall I went by. I thought it was amazing, my husband thought I was crazy. But it's just such an old country that you have to wonder.
