I created this piece on our boat out on the river. It was such a relaxing and peaceful day. Everything was glowing and glimmering, the warm and breezy weather was absolutely perfect. My skin felt cozy-warm from the slight sunburn that I was developing.

I had wanted to paint another water piece for a while, and as I took in the views and the feelings of the day on the water, the inspiration came to me more easily than usual.

For me, my art is always about more than just what it looks like. It expresses life, feelings, and energy. I love that I can look at one of my paintings and be transported back to that feeling I had while making it.
